Can’t get Muse? What to use outside the US and Canada
Most people who want Muse can’t use it yet, because it only works in two countries. If you’re one of them, here’s what to do: join Meta’s waitlist, then pick from the assistants and agents that already work where you live, compared on where they work, what they do and what they cost.
Quick answer
First, join Meta’s waitlist: sign in at muse.ai and tap “Join waitlist,” and Meta says it will tell you when Muse arrives. Then use what works where you live. Meta AI is free in Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger across the UK and Europe. Claude is available in many countries, including the UK, most of Europe, India and Pakistan. OpenClaw is an open-source agent you can run anywhere. Gemini Spark works in most Gemini countries, except the EEA, UK, Switzerland and Nigeria. Don’t use a VPN to get Muse.

Step 1: join the Muse waitlist

For developers: Meta’s models outside the US
Muse Spark, Muse Image and Muse Voice Transcribe are sold through the Meta Model API. Meta’s developer docs don’t list country restrictions, but we haven’t confirmed sign-up from outside the US.9 If it works for you, you can also run Muse Spark inside OpenClaw. The Muse API.
Why not just use a VPN?
Meta requires you to “be located” in a country where Muse is available, and its terms let it suspend access. Muse connects to your email, accounts and payment details, which is a lot to risk on access that could be cut off. More on VPNs.
When will Muse reach your country?
Meta hasn’t announced any country beyond the US and Canada. We check Muse’s App Store listing across dozens of countries and log each new launch, with the date, in our updates timeline and on the availability page.

What can I use instead of Muse outside the US?
It depends on where you are. Meta AI is free in Meta’s apps in the UK and Europe. Claude is available in many countries, including the UK, most of Europe, India and Pakistan. OpenClaw runs anywhere you can install it. Google’s Gemini Spark works in most Gemini countries, but not the EEA, UK, Switzerland or Nigeria.
Can I use Muse Spark outside the US?
As an assistant, Meta AI is offered in many more countries than Muse, but Meta hasn’t published which countries get its Muse Spark version. Developers can call Muse Spark through the Meta Model API. Meta’s docs don’t list country restrictions, but we haven’t confirmed sign-up outside the US.
Should I join the Muse waitlist?
It costs nothing and Meta says it will let you know when Muse reaches you. Sign in at muse.ai and tap Join waitlist. It doesn’t unlock Muse early.
