Muse in Australia: is it available, and when is it coming?

Muse launched in the US and Canada in September 2026, and Australia isn’t on Meta’s list yet. Here’s what Australians see when they try it, how quickly Meta’s other AI products reached Australia, and what you can use while you wait.

No, Muse isn’t available in Australia yet, and Meta hasn’t announced an Australian release date. It works only in the US and Canada. On October 9, 2026, the app wasn’t in the Australian App Store. If you sign in at muse.ai from Australia, you’re offered a waitlist. For comparison, Meta AI reached Australia in April 2024, among the first countries after the US, but Meta hasn’t said whether Muse will follow the same path.

How Meta’s AI products reached Australia

  • ReportedMeta AI: April 2024. When Meta expanded its assistant beyond the US on April 18, 2024, Australia was on the list, alongside Canada, New Zealand, Pakistan, Singapore and others.2 That was before the UK (October 2024) and Europe (March 2025).
  • Per MetaMeta Glasses are sold in Australia, but Meta said the Muse Spark version of Meta AI on Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses was available in the US and Canada.3 The Muse agent isn’t on any glasses yet. Muse on glasses.
  • Canada came quickly for Muse. It followed the US launch by ten days. Meta hasn’t said which country is next. Australia’s early Meta AI rollout is a hint, not a promise.

Can you use Muse in Australia with a VPN?

We don’t recommend it. Meta requires you to “be located” in a country where Muse is available, and its terms let it suspend access. Muse also connects to your email, accounts and payment details. More on VPNs.
