Which countries is Muse available in?
Meta’s Muse launched in the United States and added Canada ten days later. Here’s what Meta has and hasn’t said about everywhere else, and what the rules mean if you’re outside those two countries.

Muse is available in 2 countries: the United States and Canada. Muse launched in the US on September 8, 2026 and in Canada on September 18, 2026. It is not available in the UK, the EU, Australia, India, Pakistan or anywhere else yet, and Meta hasn’t announced dates for any other country. You also need to be 18 or older, have a Meta account and be located in the US or Canada. If you see “Muse isn’t available in your country or region yet,” that’s why. In both countries, Muse works on iPhone, Android and the web at muse.ai,1 and Meta has since added more ways to use it, such as a Mac app; see What is Muse? Muse for Small Business, announced September 29, is available in the same two countries.3
Who can use Muse
Meta’s Help Center lists what you need:46
- Age: 18 or older. Muse’s terms add “or such greater age required in your country or territory.”5
- Location: “Be located in a country where Muse is available.”
- Account: a Meta account. You can create one with Facebook, Instagram, an email address or a phone number.
Meta also notes that “Muse and Muse subscriptions are in limited testing and aren’t available in all locations yet.”4

Tested“Not listed” means Apple’s App Store data had no Muse from Meta listing in that country’s store on October 8, 2026. Meta hasn’t announced dates for any of them, which doesn’t mean they’re ruled out.34
“Muse isn’t available in your country or region yet”
TestedWhen we signed in from outside the US and Canada on October 8, 2026, Muse showed “Join the waitlist for Muse” with the message “Muse isn’t available in your country or region yet. We’ll let you know when it’s available to you.” and a Join waitlist button. What it means:
- It’s not a bug or an outage. Muse simply hasn’t launched where you are, so retrying or reinstalling won’t change it.
- You can join Meta’s waitlist, but it doesn’t unlock Muse. Joining means Meta will let you know when Muse reaches your country. How the waitlist works. Invite codes only add bonus tokens for people in supported countries; see Muse invite codes.
- Don’t use a VPN to get around it. Meta requires you to be located in a supported country (see below).

What about the UK, Europe, India and elsewhere?
Meta hasn’t announced Muse anywhere else, and it hasn’t published a country list or a timeline. Guides that give a UK or EU release date are guessing. Two things are worth knowing:
- Expansion has been fast so far. Canada came ten days after the US launch.2
- Muse handles a lot of personal data. It can connect to email, calendars, payment details and more.1 Regions with strict privacy and AI laws, such as the European Union, may take longer. That’s our expectation, not something Meta has said.
TestedThe app stores agree. On October 8, 2026, Apple’s App Store data listed “Muse from Meta” in the US and Canada stores only, out of 22 countries we checked (see the table above). Download details.

Can you use a VPN?
We don’t recommend it. Meta’s requirement is that you “be located” in a country where Muse is available.4 A VPN changes where your internet connection appears to come from; it doesn’t change where you are. Muse’s terms let Meta “suspend or terminate your access to Muse” at any time, including for violations of its terms.5 Muse also connects to your email, accounts and payment details, which is a lot to risk on access that could be cut off.
Traveling outside the US or Canada
Meta hasn’t said whether Muse keeps working when you travel. The Help Center words the rule as being located in an eligible country, which suggests access could depend on where you are at the time.4 If you rely on Muse for something time-sensitive, like a booking, finish it before you leave.
If Muse isn’t available where you live
- Meta AI is Meta’s free assistant inside WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Messenger. It has its own rollout, separate from Muse, so check whether it’s offered where you live. It runs on the same Muse Spark model family, but it isn’t the same product. See Muse vs Meta AI.
- ChatGPT is available in many more countries, including the UK, India and Pakistan, according to OpenAI’s supported-countries list, and has its own agent features.7 See Muse vs ChatGPT.

It means Muse hasn’t launched where you are. The same screen offers a Join waitlist button, so Meta can tell you when it does. Muse is only offered in the US and Canada, and Meta hasn’t given dates for other countries. It isn’t a bug you can fix, and retrying won’t help.8
