MetaMuseAI is a reading site. We don’t offer accounts, and we collect as little information as we can.

Who we are

This policy covers metamuseai.site (“MetaMuseAI”, “we”, “us”), an independent publication based in Pakistan and written for readers in the United States. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@metamuseai.site.

MetaMuseAI is not affiliated with Meta. This policy does not cover Muse or any Meta product; for how Meta handles your Muse data, see Meta’s own privacy documentation.

Information we collect

Information you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use it only to reply and, for corrections, to fix the page. We don’t sell it or add you to a mailing list.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These server logs are used for security and to keep the site running.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Today: the site itself doesn’t set tracking cookies.

Planned: we intend to add the services below. We’ll update this policy before we enable each of them.

  • Google Analytics 4, to understand which pages are useful. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type.
  • Google AdSense, to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Where required by law, we’ll ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies.

How information is shared

We don’t sell your personal information. Information may be processed by the service providers that run the site (such as web hosting and, once enabled, analytics and advertising providers), or disclosed if required by law.

Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, including several US states such as California and the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, you may have rights to know, access, correct or delete personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or of targeted advertising. To make a request, email info@metamuseai.site. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children

MetaMuseAI is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. Muse itself requires users to be 18 or older, according to Meta.

How long we keep information

We keep emails only as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of corrections. Server logs are kept according to our hosting provider’s standard retention.

Our articles link to other websites, including Meta’s. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes, such as enabling analytics or advertising, will be described here before they take effect.
