What can Meta Muse do? Examples and use cases
Muse is pitched as an agent that does things, not just answers. Here are 12 concrete jobs it can take on, which ones we’ve seen work on our own account, what Meta says about the rest, and the things it still can’t do.
Quick answer
Muse is an AI agent that carries out tasks for you on its own cloud computer. It can research and compare options on the web, set reminders and recurring checks, draft and send email (after you approve), shop and track prices, buy and sell on Facebook Marketplace, build documents and simple web pages, and work from WhatsApp or a Mac. It keeps working after you close the app and asks before risky steps. What it can’t do yet: shop on Amazon, solve CAPTCHAs, make phone calls for most users, or run as a Windows app.
Outside the US or Canada? Muse isn’t available there yet. You can join Meta’s waitlist, check which countries have it, or see what to use instead.

How it gets things done
- Its own computer and browser. Muse works on a secure cloud computer “with a browser shared by you and your agent,” and keeps working after you close the app.6 How Muse works.
- Skills. Built-in abilities for research, documents, dashboards, images, podcasts and browsing; Muse picks the right one.1
- TestedConnected apps. 54 connectors in the app on September 30, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion and Slack. Full list.
- Your Mac. The Mac app can organize files, fill out forms and pull from Messages, Calendar and Notes, with your permission.3 Muse for Mac.
What Muse can’t do (yet)
- Phone calls
- Full story. Meta says it’s “experimenting with the ability for Muse to make phone calls” to businesses with public numbers, and businesses can opt out.7 ReportedSome test calls were handled by human contractors; it said it would launch only “when it’s ready and with the proper disclosures.”5 TestedIn October, Muse told us it couldn’t make phone calls.

What can Meta Muse do?

We’ve tested research, reminders, an email approval, a recurring goal and WhatsApp ourselves.
Can Meta Muse make phone calls?
Not generally. Meta tested phone calls to US businesses, and Reuters reported some test calls were handled by human contractors; Meta said it would only roll the feature out “when it’s ready and with the proper disclosures.” On our account in October, Muse said it couldn’t make phone calls.5
Does Meta Muse actually work?
