How to download Muse on iPhone, Android, Mac and PC

Muse comes from Meta as an iPhone app, an Android app, a Mac app and the muse.ai website, and works inside WhatsApp too. Here’s where to get each one safely, what the store listings say, how to use Muse on a Windows PC, and why you should skip APK sites.

Quick answer

Get Muse only from Meta’s official listings: “Muse from Meta” by Meta Platforms, Inc. on the App Store (iPhone, iOS 18 or later) and Google Play (Android), and the Mac app from ai.meta.com/muse/download. On a Windows PC, there’s no app; use muse.ai in your browser. You can also chat with Muse in WhatsApp. All are free to start. Skip APK sites: they’re unofficial, and Muse only works in the US and Canada anyway.

Outside the US or Canada? Muse isn’t available there yet. You can join Meta’s waitlist, check which countries have it, or see what to use instead.

Muse itself requires you to be 18 or older with a Meta account, whatever the store’s age rating says.⁴

Data safety (Google Play): Per MetaMeta’s declaration says the app may share personal info and device IDs with third parties, may collect location, personal info and 12 other data types, encrypts data in transit, and lets you request deletion.²

Using Muse on a Windows PC

TestedThere’s no Windows app. Meta’s download page offers Mac, iPhone and Android, and muse.ai’s own “Download apps” option on Windows showed only iOS and Android.¹ Use muse.ai in any modern browser: it has the same chat, settings, connectors and Wallet.

Testedmuse.ai publishes a web app manifest (app name “Muse,” standalone display), the file Chrome and Edge use to let you install a site as its own app window.⁵ Not testedWe haven’t installed it that way. If your browser offers “Install Muse” (Chrome: the install icon in the address bar; Edge: Apps → Install this site as an app), it would open muse.ai in its own window.

The Mac app’s computer-use features, like working with your files and Messages, don’t exist on Windows. What the Mac app adds.

Which countries’ stores have it

TestedOn October 6, 2026, we checked Apple’s App Store data for 12 countries. Muse was listed in the US and Canada stores only; not in the UK, Australia, India, Pakistan, Germany, France, Brazil, Mexico, the UAE or the Philippines.³ That matches where Muse is available. Availability details.

Why to skip APK and “Muse download” sites

Only Google Play is official for Android. Meta’s download page links to Google Play, not to an APK.¹
Modified copies are a real risk for an app that connects to your email, accounts and payments.
It won’t get you around the country limit. Meta requires you to be located where Muse is available. Why a VPN doesn’t help.
Watch for look-alikes. Check that the developer is “Meta Platforms, Inc.” There are unrelated apps called “Muse.”

Is the Muse app free to download?

Yes. “Muse from Meta” is free on the App Store and Google Play, with optional in-app purchases for the paid plans.²³

Is there a Muse app for Windows or PC?

No. Meta offers Mac, iPhone and Android apps only. On a Windows PC, use muse.ai in Chrome or Edge. The site includes a web app manifest, so those browsers may offer to install it as an app window; we haven’t tried that.¹⁵

Can I download a Muse APK?

Don’t. Meta’s official Android download is Google Play. APK copies from other sites can be modified or fake, and installing one doesn’t make Muse available outside the US and Canada.

Why can’t I find Muse in my App Store?

When we checked 12 countries on October 6, 2026, the iPhone app was listed only in the US and Canada App Stores, matching where Muse is available.
