Can you make money with Meta Muse?
Mark Zuckerberg pitched Muse with a bold line: “We believe that Muse will make you money.” Muse doesn’t pay you, and there’s no earn-with-Muse program. Here’s what the claim actually covers, how much of it is proven, and the scams riding on it.
Quick answer
Muse won’t pay you, but Meta pitches it as an agent that saves or earns you money. Meta lists selling and negotiating on Facebook Marketplace, finding deals and price drops, auditing and cancelling forgotten subscriptions, negotiating bills, and handling returns, always with your approval. How much it actually earns or saves isn’t measured anywhere yet, and one seller’s Marketplace sale went wrong. Ignore anything promising income “with Muse”: Meta runs no such program.
How we checked

Where “Muse will make you money” comes from
ReportedAt Meta Connect in September 2026, Mark Zuckerberg said: “We believe that Muse will make you money,” adding that it would be free for a large number of tokens “with the expectation that over time we will profit by taking a small fee from transactions.”1 In other words, Meta earns when you buy; you “make money” by spending less or selling better.
The ways Meta says Muse can earn or save you money

- Meta’s Play Store listing: “Sell your car for more, negotiate a bill down, or plan and book a whole trip.”2
- Cut subscriptions
- “Tracks expenses, audits subscriptions, flags charges you forgot about, cancels what you don’t need,” checking with you before it cancels or spends.2 ReportedCNBC described users sharing card statements so Muse can find unused subscriptions.4

- Returns and refunds
- “Files returns and disputes, and follows up until it’s resolved, all with your approval.”3
- Run a small business

The risks
- User reportMarketplace can go wrong. A YouTuber reported that Muse shared a building address with a Marketplace buyer, accepted a lower price and told the buyer “Yep I’m here!” when the seller wasn’t there. A Meta engineering VP said the team would look into it.5
- Losses are yours. Muse’s terms say you “bear all risks of financial loss” from its actions, and Meta caps its liability at $250 or what you paid it in the past year.6
- Keep approvals on for selling, spending and sharing your address. Safety checklist.
“Make money with Muse” scams
- Meta doesn’t pay users to use Muse, and there’s no affiliate or earnings program for regular users.1
- Ignore “Muse income” apps, courses and APKs. Get Muse only from Meta’s official links. Where to download.
- Never give anyone your Meta login or card details to “activate” Muse earnings.
