Muse in the UK: is it available, and when is it coming?

Muse launched in the US and Canada in September 2026. The UK isn’t on Meta’s list yet. Here’s what UK users see when they try it, the UK release date question, how long Meta AI took to cross the Atlantic, and what you can use in the meantime.

Quick answer

No, Muse isn’t available in the UK yet, and Meta hasn’t announced a UK release date. It works only in the US and Canada. On October 8, 2026, the app wasn’t in the UK App Store. If you sign in at muse.ai from a country where Muse hasn’t launched, you’re offered a waitlist (“Join the waitlist for Muse”). For comparison, Meta AI reached the UK in October 2024, well after its US launch. In the meantime you can use Meta AI or another agent that’s available in the UK.

When will Muse launch in the UK?

Nobody outside Meta knows. Meta hasn’t given a UK date or a list of next countries. Here’s what history suggests:

  • ReportedMeta AI arrived late. Meta’s assistant had already launched in the US but only reached the UK in October 2024, starting in Facebook and Instagram.23 At the time, Meta said it would train its models on posts from UK users who don’t object.3
  • Muse handles far more personal data. It can connect to email, calendars, payments and messages, so a UK launch may need more regulatory work than Meta AI did. That’s our expectation, not something Meta has said.
  • Rivals are holding back too. ReportedOpenAI said its dots agent “will not reach Pro users in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the UK for now.”4 Google says Gemini Spark isn’t available in the UK.5

We’ll add the UK to our availability table and updates timeline the day it’s announced or appears in the UK App Store.

Can you use Muse in the UK with a VPN?

We don’t recommend it. Meta requires you to “be located” in a country where Muse is available, and its terms let it suspend access for breaking its rules. Muse also connects to your email, accounts and payment details, which is a lot to risk on access that could be cut off. More on VPNs.

Frequently asked questions

Is Meta Muse available in the UK?

No. As of October 8, 2026, Muse is available only in the US and Canada, and the Muse app isn’t listed in the UK App Store. Signing in from outside those countries offers a waitlist instead.

When is Muse coming to the UK?

Meta hasn’t announced a UK date. Its launch announcement mentioned only the US, and Canada followed ten days later. Any UK release date you see online is a guess.

Can I join a Muse waitlist in the UK?

Yes. Sign in at muse.ai with your Meta account, and if Muse isn’t available where you are, it shows “Join the waitlist for Muse.” Joining means Meta will let you know when it’s available. It doesn’t give early access.

Is Meta AI available in the UK?

Yes. Meta AI, Meta’s free assistant, launched in the UK in October 2024, well after its US launch. It isn’t the Muse agent.
