Muse on Meta’s AI glasses: what works now and what’s coming
Two different things share the Muse name on Meta’s glasses. The Muse Spark model already powers Meta AI on Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses. Muse, the personal agent, is only announced. Here’s the difference, and what Meta says the agent will do.
Quick answer
Muse, Meta’s personal agent, isn’t on its glasses yet. Meta announced on September 23, 2026 that Muse is coming to its AI glasses “in the coming months.” You’ll say your agent’s name, and it can act on what you’re looking at. What Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses run today is Meta AI powered by the Muse Spark model. That model shares the name, but it’s a different product from the agent. Meta hasn’t said which glasses models will get Muse, or when exactly.
How we checked

What Meta glasses run today: Muse Spark
Muse Spark is the AI model behind Meta AI. In April 2026 Meta said it was “starting to gradually roll out on Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses in the US and Canada over the next few weeks, and on Meta Ray-Ban Display this summer.”4 Meta Glasses, launched June 23, 2026, were “the first AI glasses to launch with Meta AI powered by Muse Spark.”5 That’s why you’ll see “Muse Spark” on glasses already. It answers questions as Meta AI. It isn’t the Muse agent, which does tasks for you. Muse vs Meta AI explains the difference.
What Muse will do on glasses
- Status
- AnnouncedComing to Meta’s AI glasses “in the coming months,” per Meta’s Connect 2026 announcement on September 23.1
- Wake it by name
- “You’ll soon be able to say your agent’s name.”1
- Act on what you see
- Muse “can act on what you’re looking at, so you won’t have to describe what’s in front of you.” Meta’s examples are a product on a shelf, a flier on a wall, or a long list of school supplies.1
- Work in the background
- “Muse will work in the background and check back when it’s done.” Meta’s examples: guiding a workout, logging meals, booking an appointment, getting flight prices or tracking down a missing part “while you’re driving, cooking, or mid-run.”2
Which glasses could get it
Meta says Muse is coming to “our AI glasses” without naming specific models.3 Its current lineup includes Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta, Meta Glasses and Meta Ray-Ban Display. At Connect it added Ray-Ban Meta Audio, its first camera-free glasses: from $349, 43 grams, up to 12 hours of battery, shipping October 13, 2026.3 Our note: without a camera, Ray-Ban Meta Audio can’t support the “act on what you’re looking at” feature Meta describes. Meta hasn’t said what Muse will do on audio-only glasses.
What you can do now
- Use Muse on your phone in the meantime. Muse works today in the app, on the web at muse.ai and in WhatsApp. Where to get it.
- Ask for early access. ReportedMeta’s early access program covers glasses support, and you join by asking Muse to tell the Muse team.6
- Don’t buy glasses for Muse alone yet. Until Meta names the supported models and a date, there’s no guarantee a given pair will get every feature.
